I grew up in a small town in Northern Michigan called Boyne Falls.  I graduated in 2004 then spent two years at North Central Michigan College in Petoskey.  After earning an associates degree at NCMC, I transferred to Northern Michigan University in Marquette to finish my education degree and graduated in 2009.  I am certified to teach K-5 all subjects and 6-8th grade Language Arts.

 

In the summer of 2006 I had the opportunity to work at a hands-on museum in East Jordan. The museum, Raven Hill Discovery Center, was near and dear to me as I had visited the museum frequently as a child.  I loved it so much that I ended up working there for the next three summers, and continued to work year-round for another three years after I graduated from Northern.  If you are ever in that area, it's a great place to check out!  Click on the link to visit the Raven Hill website.  www.ravenhilldiscoverycenter.org

 

I moved to the Thumb in 2011 for a teaching job in Caseville.  I spent three years teaching 3rd Grade there.  Last August I made the move to Brown City to teach 2nd Grade and look forward to starting my second year here in this awesome community. 

 

My husband and I got married in August of 2015.  Mr. Troshak teaches PE and science in the High School here at Brown City and also coaches Varsity Boys Basketball.  Our daughter was born in June of 2017 and keeps us very busy.  

 

In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities including camping, hiking and biking.  I enjoy cooking, photography, traveling, and tackling various DIY projects.  I go Up North as often as I can and enjoy spending time with friends and family.
